Formal delivery

Formal delivery with VAT and customs clearance

Full-service official import from China: contract, customs declaration, certification and recoverable VAT. Through our own Chinese legal entity in Guangzhou and Foshan.

For sole traders and companies that need documents: working formally, VAT recovery, tenders, retail and marketplaces with full paperwork.

Customs clearance

How we handle customs clearance

Your goods always arrive already officially cleared. For private orders and small shipments — simplified (cargo) clearance: it’s already included in the delivery price, with minimal paperwork on your side. For business — full official clearance with a declaration, VAT and certification. We tailor the scheme to your task.

Simplified (cargo)

For individuals and small shipments
  • Consolidated cargo, charged by weight / volume
  • Simplified customs clearance included in the price
  • Goods arrive already officially cleared
  • Minimal paperwork from the client
  • Short timelines and a low per-kg rate

Full official clearance

Documents and VAT — for business
  • Customs declaration for the shipment
  • Contract, invoices, certificates, VAT
  • Official documents for the goods and costs
  • Certification and labeling to market requirements
  • Input VAT recovery for companies on the general tax regime

What to choose: An order for yourself or a small batch — go simplified (cargo); purchasing through a company, VAT, tenders, retail, or a marketplace requiring full documentation — go full official clearance.

Full official clearance is available for all delivery destinations; it is not included in the shipping rate — standard clearance rates are calculated separately.

What formal delivery includes

  • Contract holder — us, or your own foreign-trade contract under currency control
  • Customs declaration: DT (EAEU) / GTD (Uzbekistan) in your legal entity’s name
  • VAT paid and recoverable (for VAT payers on the general tax regime)
  • EAC / Asl Belgisi (UZ) certification, declarations of conformity
  • Closing documents: contract, invoice, DT/GTD, tax invoice / UPD
  • Meets marketplace requirements (Wildberries, Ozon, Kaspi)

Full official clearance is available for all delivery countries; it is not included in the shipping rate and is calculated separately. The contract-holder model and the rates — check with your manager. This information is for reference and must be confirmed at the time of import.

Three models of formal import

We pick one of three schemes to fit your task and how involved you want to be in foreign-trade operations. Which models are available for your country — check with your manager.

Direct import from the factory

You are the importer under a contract with the exporting factory. Import VAT at the border, recoverable on the general tax regime. The most transparent and least expensive scheme — it requires a factory with an export license and currency control (Federal Law 173-FZ in Russia).

Through a trading house

A Chinese trading house consolidates suppliers that have no export license. You are still the importer, the VAT mechanics are the same, plus the intermediary’s commission. Convenient when you have several suppliers.

Full-service

We import in our own legal entity’s name and hand the goods over to you inside the country with 20% VAT on the invoice (recoverable on the general tax regime). Zero foreign-trade burden on your side — the most expensive but the simplest scheme.

Document package by client type

Individual (cargo)

Product link/description, country, contact. Nothing else needed — simplified customs clearance is included in the delivery price.

Sole trader

Sole-trader registration extract, tax ID, contract, invoice and packing list from the supplier, bank-transfer details. For marketplaces — labeling codes.

Company with VAT

Statutory documents, foreign-trade contract under currency control, DT/GTD, EAC certificates, tax invoice/UPD for VAT recovery.

Full official clearance costs more than simplified — but not as much as it seems

At face value, full official clearance comes out about 30–50% more expensive than simplified (cargo) per kilogram — due to duty, VAT and certification. But for a company on the general tax regime, input VAT is recoverable, so the real difference after recovery usually narrows to around 10–20%.

In return you get live marketplace listings (with no risk of being blocked for missing import documents), closing documents, the ability to take part in tenders and to work formally. We will calculate both schemes for your goods and show you the difference in money. (exact rates to be confirmed for your cargo)

Our edge for the formal model

Our own Chinese legal entity — Guangzhou Wanzhang International Logistics Co., Ltd. (广州万章国际物流有限公司) — and a warehouse in Foshan. Direct purchasing and payment to the supplier in yuan inside China strengthen the legality of the chain and the contractual basis.

Information on customs and VAT is for reference only and is not tax or legal advice. Rates, thresholds and rules change — confirm the current rules with our manager, a broker or the customs authority at the time of import.
